Recommendation  

The rural development and improvement of the farmers standard of living is feasible only through:

• Introduction of new varieties of raspberries intended for industrial use with extended autumn harvest time suitable for picking by mechanical harvesters;
• production of new varieties of raspberries with higher brix levels, firmer and more suitable for retail packaging on condition that Global Gap standard is made obligatory;
• greenhouse production of new varieties with extended early spring and late autumn harvest yield for fresh food markets in capital cities of neigbouring European countries.
